Who is this Al Biscotti?
Al is the son of a rice pudding smuggler from Burkina Faso and an Italian countess. His happy childhood was spent partly in the family castle in Tuscany and partly in the passenger seat of his father’s vintage 1940, Chevrolet Special Deluxe as they were pursued across the Serengeti Plain by angry tribesmen.
The photo below is thought to have been taken by the great author Ernest Hemingway, and shows Al’s father talking to his son after they left their pursuers behind.
Young Al was later inspired to write about the parallel universe after entering a cave somewhere in Central America, where he met the legendary archaeologist Indiana Jones.
The photo of that escapade (below) is thought to have been taken by Steven Spielberg, and shows the uncanny likeness between Al and his father.
